Stop Unknown Callers

Your phone already has a way to do this — you just need to turn it on. Tap below for simple steps.

1Open your phone's Settings app (not Ezefone).
2Tap Apps, then tap Phone.
3Look for Silence Unknown Callers (or Screen Unknown Callers) and turn it on.

From now on, calls from numbers not saved in your Contacts will go straight to voicemail without ringing.

Good to know: this will silence calls from anyone not saved as a contact — including doctors' surgeries, delivery drivers, or new numbers from family. Make sure everyone important is saved in Contacts first.

Family Code Word

Your family code word

Agree on a word together as a family — something easy to remember, that nobody outside your family would guess.

Write it down somewhere safe and physical — like inside an address book or a diary — not saved anywhere digital, including in this app.

We don't store your code word, on purpose. It should only ever exist between you and your family — never anywhere it could be read out by someone else, including by us.

Family Safety Sheet

Our Family Safety Plan

made with Ezefone

Our family code word:

(agree this together, then keep this sheet somewhere safe — not saved digitally)

If someone calls claiming to be a family member in trouble, asking for money:

  • DO NOT tell them the code word — ask them for it.
  • DO NOT send money, vouchers, or gift cards because of a phone call alone.
  • DO NOT feel rushed — it's always okay to hang up and check.

If they can't give the code word, hang up and call a family member directly.
